Living on the streets is really rough for any creatures, but what happened with this stray dog is really nice. It stayed more than 11 years wandering the streets in Los Angeles, but, as usual, anyone gets old, he starts to slow down.
The poor dog was totally exhausted and sick. He decided to refuge on a stranger house’s porch, to take a nap, hoping that he will have a better life.
Fortunately, he chose the right home. The person who saw him did not banish him. The person was a woman and she took him and called him Solovino, which means “he who came alone” in Spanish.
He stayed at his makeshift house for days. The woman contacted a dog rescue group, that takes the animal and rehome them, it called Rocket Dog Rescue. Which is located in San Francisco.
The good dog was sent to a foster home, but unfortunately, he forced to foster to various homes for more than a year as his first foster placement didn’t last long.
Carol Messina heard about Solovino’s story, she directly fell in love with him and she decided to adopt him.
Messina shortened his name to solo, and she wanted to give him so happy life, but it was clear that Solo still did not trust in humans in general, and especially in Messina
Messina said that he was so shy when he came to live with her, he was also trying to keep his tail between his legs, and he was non-reactive to cats, people, and dogs.
It took so long time, then Messina discovered that Solo had a hearing weakness, and some dental problems. So, she decided to make some preparing to his teeth. He is now becoming so happy, and he also had a nice best friend in the neighborhood, a nice dog, Bailey.
Messina bought a ‘’Deaf dog’’, a vest to let people know that the dog is deaf, she helps him so much, and he is now so happy with his new family. Thanks for the kind people who always try to make the life better.
