A 56-year-old railway station employee called Paul Hawthorn has gone viral after rescuing a dog from the railway tracks.
The man, who is from Luton, southeast England, was on his job at Leagrave Station on Monday morning, when he was alerted about a dog on the railway tracks.
Thankfully, the employee was able to save Staffordshire bull terrier puppy before the arrival of the train. But after pulling the dog away, the pup ran and got stuck in the railway tracks.
Being unallowed to go down onto the tracks, the employee tried to let the trains slow down by signaling for them and if necessary to stop. He was then able to lure the dog out of the tracks using a croissant.
Fortunately, he was able to save the dog, and shared a photo of him online in hopes his owners saw it. Luckily, the photo went viral and the owner saw it. Thankfully, the dog's mama came and reunited with her dog. However, Paul has been hailed as her for what he did. How great! Watch the video below.
