The SPCA in Prince George, British Columbia, was called by a concerned citizen who saw a mama dog and her 10 pups in a very bad condition. Unfortunately, the 4-year-old mama dog was forced to be fed alcohol and drugs by her owner. One of her puppies was also seen abused very bad, so the Good Samaritan directly called the SPCA for help.
Thankfully, the rescuers of the SPCA directly went to the scene with a search warrant and took the mama dog and her puppies to a veterinary clinic, where they found that the mama had scars and fractures because being abused. They also knew that the dog had ingested drugs after doing a toxicity test.
Happily, all the puppies, who are two weeks old, along with their mama were taken to a foster home to be cared for.
Once the mama dog had been spayed, she will be available for adoption, and when the puppies are 8 weeks old, they will also be available for adoption. We hope that all the dogs will be in forever homes soon.
