These are bee hummingbirds that can be found along the West Coast of the U.S. including Alaska during the summer months. The bee hummingbird, smaller, in size and lacking color resides in Cuba.

Bee hummingbirds like hummingbirds mainly feed on nectar. They also snack on insects. Spiders occasionally.
It is said that hummingbirds visit about 1,500 flowers every day playing a role, in ecosystem health by aiding in plant reproduction.
Interestingly these tiny creatures do not migrate from their homeland of Cuba. Seem to enjoy the climate there.
The bee hummingbird is currently classified as threatened due to a decline in its population. Its disheartening to see such a bird, at risk; lets join hands to safeguard the environment for these beings!
