Definitely, nothing compares to the joy of coming home and finding a loyal partner to jump on us and nibble on our shoes while wagging his tail in happiness.
We love our pets. The unconditional love that they give us goes far beyond the mere company, they help us reduce stress, improve our heart rate, and even help our children grow socially and emotionally healthy.
Unfortunately, many times unexpected situations occur and our animals leave our homes by accident and get lost, when we believe that they will always be with us, this does not always happen. Anyone who has been through a similar situation knows that there is no worse feeling than losing a pet and not knowing where it is.
For Mary and Brent, their white Great Pyrenees puppy named Jasper is a fundamental member of the family. One morning, while he was alone in the backyard of the house, he decided to go out and did not turn back until he reached Columbia Lake, many miles from his home.
They spent three days looking for him, but Jasper didn't show up. Mary and Brent were in utter sadness, devastated and desperate, as their beloved pet had never done such a thing before.
The couple had begun to lose hope of seeing their beloved long-eared alive again, and no wonder. Realizing that something like this happened to a puppy that has never before entered the outside world in your yard must be a nightmare.
The search continued, adding more and more members of the community and close neighbors to the couple until he was finally seen. A halo of hope illuminated Mary's eyes, deep down she knew that Jasper was alive, so she and her husband had to continue.
As they drove looking around, Mary asked Brent to pull the car to the side of the road. Brent responded with a certain sarcasm, not knowing that the two were about to experience a reunion worthy of the Mecca of cinema.
In the end, Jasper appeared running from the undergrowth to throw himself into the arms of his human parents who welcomed him happily but amazed by the journey that this mischievous canine made, which will surely be his first and last.
Mary, Brent, and Jasper are together again. We imagine the horror that people who lose their pet go through, since they are just another member of the family, they fill us with so much happiness and love that abruptly losing them leaves our hearts empty.
