A rescue group received a call about an injured stray dog wandering in a nearby area. This was not a typical call. The stray dog didn’t just need to be rescued off the street.
He needed to be rescued or he would not survive. The stray dog had a jar stuck to his head, making it impossible to eat or drink. The poor dog could barely breathe!
The rescuers tried to capture the puppy but it kept running until it hid under a bridge, and lay down breathless. The rescuers had no choice but to use a tranquilizer dart on the puppy.
After being hit by the dart, he ran off again, but this time onto a busy street. Cars were speeding by honking their horns. Rescuers ran after him. When the anesthetic took effect, the tired dog lay down and waited for help.
Finally, the dog was carefully lifted and the jar was removed from its head with a special tool. The dog was sedated and very sleepy, but still managed to show his gratitude to his rescuers by giving them a few kisses. The dog, now in good hands, was placed in their vehicle.
They took him back to the animal shelter. He was thrilled to get a real meal and a bowl of fresh water. The rescue group posted his story on social media and adopters lined up to meet him. He found a forever home within days!
The following story is about another dog in a similar situation. Stray animals are so desperate for food that finding your head stuck in a jar is nothing special. It is heartbreaking, to say the least.
This poor dog had been walking around with his head stuck in a plastic jar for over two weeks!
The rescue group also had to chase him after he ran away from them several times. Fortunately, they managed to corner him in a large field. He finally surrendered to the kind humans, knowing he had little energy left.
They also used a special way and freed him from the jar. He is now safe and back in their shelter. We are so grateful that both dogs are safe!
