Once upon a time there was a dog who had endured a life living on the streets. With half an ear and plagued by fleas this little canine yearned for love and stability.
It was heartbreaking to witness the struggles of this pup as they wandered aimlessly without a place to call home. Hunger, cold weather, thirst and constant persecution were their companions.
Recently in Texas, USA this precious dog named Meg appeared on the patio of someones house. The owner of the establishment couldn't bear to look at her due, to her neglected appearance—malnourished and covered in fleas.
It was evident that Meg had spent time fending for herself on the unforgiving streets. Her eyes held a sadness that hinted at her belief that she would never reach age.
The compassionate owner decided to share Megs story on Facebook—a plea for help.. It didn't take long for hearted individuals who cherish animals to come forward with offers of assistance, for this frail creature.
The hearted individuals, from the Houston Shelter visited your home to meet Meg. Offered her their complete attention and care. Upon seeing her they immediately recognized the need for action to improve her well being and alleviate her sadness and suffering.
Every effort was made to show compassion, towards the canine companion. The veterinarian who examined Meg discovered that she weighed than five kilograms. Shockingly it was deemed one of the cases the vet had ever encountered. Meg was plagued with lice, infections a missing ear and an infestation of fleas.
