Dogs in shelters are put to sleep when they are overcrowded, to make room for new ones. Rudolph, an 8-month-old American pit bull/Labrador mix, was set to be euthanized.
A vet euthanized Rudolph at the Oklahoma shelter, but he was awake, when they came back to take him. That made the veterinarian refused to do it again! The fate also gave Rudolph another chance in life after a no-kill shelter in Iowa called Kings Harvest Pet Rescue stepped in.
They also shared his picture on Facebook, that’s when they received many adoption applications! But he was taken by a breeder of Siberian Huskies for veterans called Jacob Hommer, as he thought that Rudolph would be perfect for a veteran from Colorado.
When the veteran heard Rudolph’s story, he did not think twice, and took him home!
