A talented conservation and wildlife photographer from India called Dhritiman Mukherjee has taken many great photos in his 21-year career. However, the photo of an endangered male gharial crocodile carrying his babies through the water is one his best.
Gharial species are the largest of all living crocodiles as they were first discovered before more than 4,000 years. Anyway, the population of this specie has started to go down since the 1930s.
The truth that there are less than 1,000 gharial crocodiles in the world makes this photo more special as the father trying to help the population growth.
However, crocodiles would usually use their mouth to transport their babies, but they do not carry their babies, which makes the photo even better!
