This story speaks about Walt, a rescue dog, who was not able to make eye contact with his new adopted family during his freedom ride! He was so scared as he had no idea how to come inside a home! So, he’d sit and stare at the walls for hours!
The woman who adopted the dog explains that it was obvious that Walt had been treated badly in the past as this was her first time to see a dog like him.
Eventually, Walt started feeling safe as he was given time and space by the family. The first time Kelly, his new mama, tried to touch him, he flinched, but he now enjoys being petted by her! What a transformation!
