Shelter dogs only want one thing, which is getting adopted. However, some of them wait for so long to find their forever homes. That's exactly what happened with Acorn, a dog, who waited for approximately 2 years in the Outer Banks SPCA, in North Carolina, till he found a forever home.
The dog was the longest resident of the shelter after staying there for 633 days. However, the shelter did not give up on him, and just waited in hopes that he would find his forever home. And that's exactly what recently happened!
Acorn was eventually adopted on March 18 by a kind family. The staff said that it was one of the greatest moments in their lives as Acorn is so friendly and loves everyone he meets. We hope that all shelter dogs find their forever very soon.
