There have been tales, about the loyalty of dogs towards their families. This particular story stands out as one of the examples. It revolves around a canine who was willing to sacrifice his life to safeguard his familys girls from a perilous encounter with a wildcat.
It all began when two young girls, Sofie and Yoli ventured into a forest to gather figs from a tree. They climbed up the tree unaware that they were not alone. To their astonishment they spotted a Puma perched on the tree branch. Without warning the fierce wildcat pounced at them.
In their panic the girls tumbled down from the tree. Started running. The Puma swiftly descended and chased after them. That's when Morocho, Sofies dog sprang into action and confronted the Puma head on. Despite being half the weight of the predator, at 90 lbs while it weighed 180 lbs Morocho fearlessly stood his ground to protect those little girls.
Upon hearing all the commotion Sofies father Tomas Bracamonte rushed over to investigate what was happening. There he discovered Morocho lying on the ground severely injured but still showing his unwavering dedication to safeguarding his family.
Then Tomas noticed the body of the Puma a few feet away. It was clear that the Puma had met its demise. Morocho had risked his life. Successfully protected his loved ones from certain death.
Tomas carried Morocho back, to his farm, where the entire family worked diligently to nurse him back to health over the ten days. Morocho made a recovery. Became a true hero, in both his community and his familys eyes. The unwavering loyalty of a dog is truly one of lifes gifts. Morocho you are undeniably legendary!
