When you are a zookeeper, you surely create a connection with most of the animals, get to know all the important information about their lifespan, what they eat, and how much they eat. However, when animals live more than their estimated lifespan, all the staff members of the zoo celebrate it.
And that's exactly what happened at the Fort Worth Zoo, when a silverback gorilla called Ramses turned 52 last April! Gorillas like Ramses live in the range of 35 as an average! The gorilla became the oldest living gorilla of his species.
The exemplary care Ramses receives from the staff is the main reason why he has surpassed the lifespan, according to the zoo. How awesome! Watch the video below.
