Zoo in China has confessed that their popular exhibit featuring two animals labeled as pandas are painted dogs.
Fluffy Chow Chow dogs, cleverly disguised to look like the nations cherished animal were captured on video by a visitor, at the zoo, in Guangdong province.
The video was uploaded on Monday to DouYin which is Chinas equivalent of TikTok and has gained a lot of popularity.
In a picture posted by someone, on social media platform shows white dogs inside an area next, to a sign that reads “painted dogs.”
The sign proudly proclaims us as Panda Dogs. Dogs resembling pandas that have been groomed and styled to perfection, by Chow Chow breeders. We embody qualities of gentleness, intelligence, friendliness, cuteness and adorableness that make us beloved companions, to many.
The manager of the zoo named Huang mentioned that the dogs are, among the attractions there.
“Our name says it all – we’re called ‘Strange Animals and Cute Pets Paradise’ ” she mentioned in an interview, with a media outlet linked with the state of Sichuan Observation.” We specialize in painting Chow Chow dogs like pandas; it’s one of our offerings.”
Dogs, in China have previously been painted to resemble pandas and other exotic animals showing a recurring trend, in expression.
In May of this year there was a zoo located in Jiangsu province that caused a lot of anger among visitors when it was revealed that they had painted two dogs to look like pandas, with white colors. After facing criticism, from the public the zoo eventually confessed to the deception.
In 2019 in Chengdus southwestern city area a coffee shop faced criticism, for providing a service where patrons could have their pets dyed to resemble pandas; in 2016, in Guangdong there were reports of stores selling dogs dyed to resemble tiny tigers.
