When a pit bull called Aimee arrived at Carson Animal Care Center in California, she was just six months old! It was obvious that she was in a lot of pain as her skin, that was diseased, was decaying in patches.
It has been said that the dog was so friendly, but she got panicked because of the loud barks of the other dogs. She was treated for her skin disease, but she still had an idea in her mind that she’d never find a forever home as she is ugly!
She was so close from being euthanized, so, the workers decided to do what they could to let her find a forever home. They took an adorable photo of her covered in a colorful blanket and shared it online.
Thankfully, the photo went viral and a family went to the shelter to adopt her. The dog, who was named Phoenix, is now having a great family to live with and a forever home to stay at. What a happy ending!
