Priest Allows Stray Dog To Attend Mass Helping Them To Find Home

Stray dogs in Brazil always attend churches which makes their chances to get a new forever home higher. That's what happened at Paróquia de Sant’Ana Gravatá every Sunday as the head of the parish of Santana in the city of Gravatá, Father João Paulo Araujo Gomes, always brings stray dogs to his church to become a part of his service to help them in finding forever homes.

The truth is that dogs always provide us with precious memories, laughter, and an unconditional love. So, we have to pay them back by giving them forever homes.

The stray dogs in Gravatá are being housed by Father João Paulo in his rectory and he always brings them to the church service hoping that they will find forever homes. Unfortunately, many rescue dogs, that are brought to the church are in desperate need of attention and helped as they are neglected and affected because of the cruel life in streets.

Father João Paulo also takes care of the dogs by feeding them and giving them the necessary medical treatment in addition to giving them a temporary place to stay at. Thankfully, the number of abandoned dogs, that was more than 200.000, has reduced substantially because of the efforts of Father João Paulo as many of them have already forever homes.

His story went viral after a photo of him was shared on Facebook. The photo has got thousands of positive comments and shares which surely helps the dogs to find forever homes. What a great effort!
