Twin panda cubs, male and female, were recently born in China, which gave a great sign that pandas can survive in the country despite the loss of habitat and climate change.
The panda twin cubs to Qin Qin, their mama, are not the first twins that were born at the Qinling Panda Research Center in Shaanxi province, as another twin cubs were also born to Yong Yong, another panda, at the same canter.
In 2020, twin female cubs were also born to Qin Qin. There is no word about the dad, but the population of animals in China have been boosted by some vets, who’ve been using artificial insemination.
These efforts were great as there are around 2,300 pandas in China now, 500 of them live in reserves, zoos, and captivity, and the others live in the wilds.
Hopes are now very high in China that they can keep this cute creature away from extinction.
