A young female pit bull mix was found in a garbage can in Detroit-Michigan. When the rescuers took a closer look, they saw that she was abandoned as there were many signs of abuse.
Andy Seltz of the Michigan Humane Society says that the dog has recently given birth to newborn puppies but they do not know the number of them.
They searched the area, asked people for help, and knocked on doors but they found nothing. The rescuers said that the most probable thing is that the person who dumped the mama dog took her babies after she gave birth to them as she was used for breeding.
