Larry and Kerri Ruiz were completely lucky as their Chihuahua, Chico, stayed alive after being attacked by a coyote.
Chico was barking desperately so they went out and saw him grabbed by a coyote who ran off with him!
However, they were able to save his life by some quick thinking.
The coyote dropped the Chihuahua when it heard an airhorn, and took off.
So, the Chihuahua could escape and run back to his owners, who took him to a vet clinic, where they knew that he had some scratches and a broken rib.
The most important thing is that the Chihuahua is still alive.
This incident will surely let any owner not to leave their pets without observation.
