Trumpet, the wolf was born at the Wolf Conservation Center, in New York as part of a program aimed at assisting the endangered species. However there was uncertainty about how she would fare as a mother since she had no experience with caring for or raising pups due to being a child.

Since Trumpet had never witnessed the care and raising of litters she embarked on this journey without any knowledge. Surprisingly her maternal instincts guided her in the direction!
