Woman Thinks She Was Saving A puppy Covered In Cactus, Finds It Isn't Dog At All

Gwen Maxwell, an 86 year woman came across a dog (or what she initially believed to be a regular puppy), in distress, on her property. The unfortunate creature was entangled in cholla cactus. Seemed to have difficulty seeing. As Maxwell approached the animal she soon realized that it was not a puppy all—it turned out to be a coyote!



Gwen was taken shocked by the sight. Immediately called for assistance from a neighbor when she saw the coyote collapse, in the heat. It was truly heartbreaking to witness the pup struggling to move with the cholla cacti clinging to its legs, shoulders and face.



While Gwen kept an eye on the situation a pair of. Individuals named Jose Soto and Shawn Bordine from a nearby golf course came forward to lend their help. Together they devised a plan to free the creature, from its predicament.Armed with a pair of gloves and a trusty set of pliers the dynamic duo cautiously embarked on the task of removing the entanglement from the coyotes fur.



Remarkably composed throughout the ordeal the brave little pup remained tranquil without biting or uttering a sound. Finally liberated from its confinement this adorable little creature emerged unscathed despite some cuts and bruises.



After capturing a fleeting snapshots the gentlemen gently released the young coyote pup back onto the ground and delighted in observing its immediate dash, towards its mother. As they vanished into the foliage it was undeniable that they had just witnessed something beautiful.
