Zoo At North Carolina Celebrates The Birth Of Triplets Of Sand Cats

Triplet sand kittens were born to Cosmo, a 9-year-old male cat, and Sahara, a 3-year-old female cat, on May 11 at the North Carolina Zoo. When the kittens were born, they were very small to the point they were fit in the palm of an adult's hand.

In less than 2 weeks, the zoo welcomed 3 newborn animals, a newborn giraffe on 20th of May, and a baby chimpanzee on 21st of May, and the cute sand kittens. It is known that sand cats are the only species that can live in desert environments as they are able to kill and hunt venomous snakes.

However, the names and genders of the kittens haven't been determined yet, and the zoo will post them online once it is revealed. How adorable!
